Instruments/Plugins
- LinnDrum - I (of course) don't use an actual LinnDrum but I use a sample pack.
- Mt-PowerDrumKit (not used anymore) - This plugin is very good, extremly good, but I felt like it didn't really reflect my point of view on music
- TripleOscilator - It's a built-in LMMS plugin, it might not be the best Synth ever but does the job good
- ZynAddSubFX - It's the very old version included with LMMS, it's powerful, but requires too many windows.
- DVS Guitar - it used to be featured a lot on Debut Album with a couple of amps, but I plan it to not use it like crazy in future albums
For vocal recording: I use a headset microphone, I'm not joking. It's the HyperX Cloud II and it goes through VoiceMeeter Potato with compression and EQ, but the reverb and so gets added after the vocals are recorded in Audacity. Therefore it's not really a "LMMS Production" since I didn't do anything with the vocals in LMMS
Mixing and Stuff
I usually mix the instrumentals inside LMMS. I won't get into that much detail on how every instrument is being mixed, but make sure I have a mix that doesn't sound like shit. Usually, each part of the drums get their own volume, except for the snare where I added reverb. I also add compression to the melodic Instruments like Bass, Arps or Leads. I usually cut out around 60hz from melodic instruments EXCEPT for the bass, I still want to keep the lowend from the bass.
In Debut Album, panning was basically not available, but on future recordings, it will feature more panning, I can't say on how many songs, but there will be panning.
